Excess deaths continue...
... after the Covid lockdown. Is there a connection?
Here’s the conclusion of a study posted in BMJ Public Health:
Excess mortality has remained high in the Western World for three consecutive years, despite the implementation of containment measures and COVID-19 vaccines. This raises serious concerns. Government leaders and policymakers need to thoroughly investigate underlying causes of persistent excess mortality.
What would happen if you took out the word “despite” in the first sentence, and replaced it with “because of”? You’d have a plausible hypothesis, at least.
But the final sentence is hard to dispute. People are dying at unexpectedly high rates. Responsible public-health officials should certainly be looking for explanations, exploring every hypothesis— including the one I just mentioned.
Are we talking about those NIH folks who made $750 million from their vaccines? They can’t afford to ask your necessary question.
Hi Phil -- great thought-provoking question for a Friday morning. Great point -- a slight adjustment of language can completely change the meaning of the sentence you point out. I am sure all the "experts" and technocrats never have ulterior motives when carefully crafting language so as to fit a narrative. Oops - I talked out of school.
