The phrase "How the mighty have fallen" comes to mind. I attended a Jesuit university from 1960 to 1964. When that subject comes up, I usually addd the comment that "I attended a Jesuit university when the Jesuits were still Catholic - for the most part.
Several years ago one of my grandsons received a scholarship to the same university. As part of freshman orientation he was required to sit through a presentation by a young woman who was the head of the campus LGBT organization.
My Jesuit educators some 55 years ago included the most fantastic men I ever met, men who inspired me to consider joining the Jesuits. Unfortunately the younger men were disappointing. Even at that time it was evident to me the order had lost its way. I would say this order should be suppressed but really there's no need, it is suppressing itself.
I cannot bring myself to “like“ this article. I am beyond nauseated. Kyrie eleison!

St. Ignatius, pray for us.
