Thank you! That and “the Hive” were topics of many conversations at our house back in those days. Around the same time I remember that Tom had a piece in the NY Times magazine (if I recall correctly), and the editors fact-checked him on every detail. He couldn’t help thinking that whereas he could demonstrate the accuracy of his reporting, writers on the other side of the political spectrum weren’t subject to the same vetting.
